Sulphur-Mary Alice Lee, age 89, moved to her heavenly home on January 7, 2018 surrounded by her family, at Brookdale Lake Charles Assisted Living Facility.

Mary Alice was a woman who loved God. She taught her family Christian values and the love of family. She was devoted to her husband, J. W. (deceased in 2016) for 67 years. She and J.W. loved to travel with family and with friends all across the United States. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, baking cookies, doing crafts, reading, and playing card games. She and...

Mary Alice was a woman who loved God. She taught her family Christian values and the love of family. She was devoted to her husband, J. W. (deceased in 2016) for 67 years. She and J.W. loved to travel with family and with friends all across the United States. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, baking cookies, doing crafts, reading, and playing card games. She and her friends had a sewing group that met weekly and each worked on a variety of projects. She loved flowers and made arrangements for her church sanctuary. She was an accomplished seamstress, making clothes for herself and Sherry and all her grandchildren. Silk pillowcases were a favorite of the girls and were cherished to the point of even going on honeymoons!

Survivors include a son, Rich Lee, Sr, and wife Deb; daughter Sherry Lee; five grandchildren, Jennifer Conner and husband Britt; Tammy England and husband Jerry; Richard Lee Jr and wife Fah; John Bradley; Mike Lee and wife Mandy; ten great grandchildren; Trevor, Madison, Camryn, Colton, Jerry Lee, Brianna, Carmen, Aiden, Joshua, and Zachary; also sisters Nettie Maxwell and Shirley Cobb; brother Huey Priest. She is preceded in death by brother Julius Priest and sister Dorothy Harber.

Funeral services will be at 2pm Wednesday January 10, 2018 at Hixson Sulphur Memorial. Dr. Emil Turner will officiate. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 10am to noon.
